Magic Maths Planning
7 June 2012

At the start of this term we introduced maths groups to the Kindy kids. The students were grouped according to their ability in number (read, write and say numbers). As I only have 20 children in my class I am able to get away with 4 groups, which allows each group to be seen each maths session (2 rotations). Because the students are new to rotations, working independently and school in general I decided to only do 2 rotations a day. Any more than that and I would be doing more behaviour managing then teaching!!

See an example of how I plan for this below...

If you would like to use this planning format in your class I have made a modified version just for you! Most of you probably see your class 5 days a week, so I have made a weekly maths format for you to use. The document is in Publisher so you can further modify it if you need to.

If you would like to download your own EDITABLE version of this  document then click here, or you can find it under the Maths section of our website. Jut make sure that you select the .pub version if you want to be able to edit it.

Keep an eye out over the coming weeks as we will be adding a Number 1-10 and basic shapes learning program including activities, lesson ideas and worksheets.

Remember keep calm and pretend it's on the lesson plan!
