Good Morning, Good Morning!

Every morning we complete our calender!

File 5093

Using some of our calendar parts and the excellent free template from Mama Jenn I created this poster. I used hooked rings(from the key ring section at Office Works) to connect the pieces and make sure that none of them get lost. i purchased cheap stickon hooks from the Reject Shop to  add on to hang the different parts up. My students love doing this calender in the morning! I love the calender as it incorporates not only the date, but addition and place value!

It is also a great way to keep track of the number of days we have been at school, as our Early Childhood team has a big celebration on the 100th day of school!

Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Can you imagine not only losing all of your personal belongings and homes, but also your teaching resources (and we all know the hours spent compiling/laminating/cutting them!)? On a positive note at least "things" can be replaced! And with that said we are linking up with Laurah from The ESOL Odessey to help our fellow teachers affected by the hurricane by offering a 3 month membership to the website.

If you have been affected by the hurricane and need some help please click on the link below the picture and fill out the form. Laurah will then be in touch with you
