On the holidays....

Use these holiday recount formats to help your students remember what they did on the holidays. They are available in 3 different ability levels.

1. Use this template for students to recount their favourite event from the holidays. Have students first draw/paint a picture of their favourite event. The teacher can then scribe their recount or the students can have a go at writing a simple sentence. Enlarge the template to A3 so there is more room for writing and enough room to paint if you choose to do so.   

2. Use this template for students to recount their 2 favourite events from the holidays. This sheet has room for students to first draw the event and then write about it. You may like to enlarge the sheet to A3 to allow students more room to write and draw.

3. Use this template for students to write about 4 things they enjoyed doing on the holidays. The sheet is split into 4 boxes and children can write a different thing they liked doing in each box. Enlarge onto A3 to allow more room for students to write.
