Chick Sum Challenge

Help students practise their addition skills with this chick sum challenge activity!

These super cute chick containers were purchased at Red Dot and can be used for so many different Easter, Spring or Farm theme activities. As Easter is nearly here we have been using them to make practising addition sums a little bit more exciting.

Place 2 dice inside the chicks and shake, shake, shake! Look into the chicks to see the 2 numbers on the dice. Write these 2 numbers onto the lines on the 'Chick Sum Challenge' recording sheet. This can be downloaded here. Students can use their fingers, count the dots or use counters to solve the addition question. They then write the answer into the chick!
