Description

100 Days of School: 100 Days Smarter Tie is a fun and flexible craft activity that lets students celebrate their big 100-day milestone with colour, creativity and pride. This engaging resource combines counting, fine motor skills and reflective learning as students create their very own tie to wear or display. With multiple template options and two clear ways to complete the activity, it’s easy to adapt to suit a range of year levels and classroom setups.

Students can choose between ties with 100 dots or a blank version for open-ended decoration. Whether they’re colouring in each dot, gluing on craft items or designing their own pattern, the focus remains on counting to 100 and expressing how much they’ve learned since starting school. This simple activity offers great cross-curricular value combining art, maths and personal reflection in a hands-on and memorable way.

To complete their tie, students cut and decorate their template, then attach string so they can proudly wear it. You can use this as an individual task, part of a craft rotation or a whole-class celebration to mark the 100th day. It also makes a lovely keepsake for families and a visual reminder of how far your learners have come!
