Description
If you’re teaching 2D shapes and after a craft that’s equal parts creative and educational, then our 2D Shape Pizza Craft will definitely steal a ‘pizza’ your heart! This hands-on activity gives students the chance to show off their shape knowledge in a fun and food-themed way that’s perfect for Foundation through to Year 2 classrooms.
Students use a selection of 2D shape toppings—including squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, pentagons and hexagons—to create their very own shape pizza. With no fixed template to follow, students are encouraged to take full creative control, deciding which shapes to include and how many of each. This open-ended design fosters choice and exploration, making it suitable for all levels of learners.
Once their pizzas are complete, students record what they’ve created using a differentiated recording slip. Three versions of the slip are provided to cater to your class’s varying needs, and each is available in both colour and black and white. A printable banner is also included so that you can create a vibrant and educational pizza-themed display to showcase your students' work.
