Description

Students can show their understanding of corners or vertices of common 2D shapes using this 2D Shapes: How Many Corners? worksheet set. These activities are a great way for students to practise counting and identifying shape features while building their mathematical vocabulary.

Students complete each worksheet by counting the number of corners or vertices in each shape and colouring in the number that matches. Multiple versions are included so you can choose whether to use the term “corners” or “vertices” to suit your classroom language. Differentiated worksheets are also provided—students can work with either twelve shapes or six shapes depending on their level.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • ✅ Identify and name common 2D shapes
  • ✅ Count corners or vertices accurately
  • ✅ Use correct shape-related vocabulary
  • ✅ Engage in differentiated tasks to suit learning needs

What’s Included:
