Encourage your students’ critical thinking skills using this “Odd One-Out” style task card activity.

This activity contains 44 task cards with four pictures of different objects. To start the activity, the students will identify the objects on the four pieces of bread and identify their shapes. Using a whiteboard marker, they will then cross out the object that does not belong to the group. The odd picture is the object which is not similar to the shape of the rest of the objects.

The twelve 2D shapes included in this task card include circle, rectangle, square, triangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, trapezoid, rhombus, star, heart, and oval.
