A different way to engage with and practise sounding out ff, ll, ss and zz words. This set of worksheets requires students to read a sentence with a missing word, which has been replaced with a picture. They need to figure out the word the image represents and fill it into the mini crossword-style boxes. Each section of the sheet has two missing words, one which goes ‘across’ and one which goes ‘down’. Five worksheets are included in this resource. Worksheets could be photocopied as a class set or placed in Write and Wipe sleeves and reused.
