Description

Within these activities, students develop an understanding of algorithms as sets of instructions. For each activity, students investigate the properties of the multiples of 2, 4, 5 or 10 and discuss emerging patterns. They generate their own algorithms to explain these patterns and are prompted to evaluate these theories. A great opportunity for students to build number sense and extend their thinking and ability to talk about numbers and their properties.
