Students will sort different animals into their natural habitats. Students will develop a deeper understanding of belonging by connecting the idea that people belong to different places worldwide, just like animals do. You may like to use this activity to introduce the topic and complete the sort as a whole class or as a small group activity to consolidate understanding. There is also a worksheet included, where students can demonstrate their understanding. Print and laminate all of the pages. Cut out the animals and mix them up. Have students sort the animals into the relevant habitats.
