Attention Grabber Rhymes Worksheets
Description
Practise rhyming words while discovering some new attention grabber sentences to use when you need your students to focus using this differentiated worksheet set.
Students will complete common attention grabber sentences by selecting the word that rhymes with the bolded part of the sentence. Students will practise identifying rhyming words as well as noticing rhythm and sound patterns, which is great for preparing to learn about poetry and songs.
The support version of this task has students cutting and pasting words from the word bank, while extension versions ask students to create their own rhyming attention grabber sentences.
Top Teacher Tip: Complete this activity during Week 1 or 2 of each term. Ask students to select their favourite invented sentences and vote as a whole class to decide which one to use in your classroom during the term!
This worksheet set pairs well with the Attention Grabber Posters.Additional information
