Description

Help your students practise number sequencing and numerical fluency with the engaging and hands-on Before & After Number Cars to 100 activity. This interactive resource supports learners in recognising and sequencing numbers up to 100 by encouraging them to identify the number that comes before and after a given value. With colourful car-themed cards and fun peg-style wheels, this resource adds a playful element to important early numeracy skills.

Each car card features a number printed in the centre, and students must attach the correct number wheels on either side to show the number that comes directly before and after. This simple, tactile task helps reinforce counting strategies and strengthens students’ ability to navigate number lines, especially for those still developing confidence with numbers beyond 20. The pegging component also supports fine motor development, making it a fantastic dual-purpose activity.

Whether used during maths rotations, for independent number work, or in small group instruction, these cards offer an ideal way to consolidate knowledge of numerical order in a visual and interactive way. They can be laminated and reused or printed in black and white on coloured cardstock to suit your classroom needs. The format is self-correcting, allowing students to work independently while receiving immediate feedback as they clip the correct numbers onto each car.

Key Learning Outcomes
