Use this set of 25 clip cards to help your students practise hearing and identifying beginning blends. The sounds covered include ~ bl, br, ch,cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, pr, sc, sh, sk, sp, st, sw, th, tr, tw, wh. Using pegs the students will place it onto the correct blend/digraph. These can then be checked by a partner or teacher. To extend this activity, have the students record the word on a scrap of paper, or on a mini whiteboard.
