Description

Students use the template to create a three-dimensional dome-shaped diorama.

Use the activity when students are learning about different habitats or ecosystems. Students can create a paper terrarium by decorating the ground and backing of the template. They can then add figures to the model by placing card pop-ups throughout the ground.

Choose to implement the BioBubble activity in one lesson or have students add to it across multiple lessons. When learning about producers, consumers and decomposers, have students choose a habitat and then add examples of each.

For best results, print on thick card for added durability of the models. The second page contains instructions and reference images which you may like to display on screen for students to reference or print a few per group of students.

This resource is included in our Biological Sciences Year 4 UNIT PLAN.
