Teaching Food Chains this term? Well, take a look at our Biological Sciences Unit for Year 4.
This 8-lesson unit explores the interactions of producers, consumers and decomposers linking them together by covering food chains and the implications of changes in the balance of an ecosystem.
Students will progressively add to a habitat diorama while learning about the different stages in food chains before demonstrating their learning by creating a food chain poster.
The unit plan package downloads as a zip file and contains the following resources:
- Unit Guide: includes a scope and sequence, unit overview, lesson plans with associated resources, assessments, rubrics, self-reflection and peer feedback templates, suggested resources and tiered vocabulary lists.
