Description

Ditch the mundane counting tasks, this fun, hands-on activity will engage your students when counting! Our Bowling Pins game is suitable for individual or partner work and provides students with the opportunity to practise counting to 10.

This resource features six different game boards in high and low colour options and supports the following:

  • Counting collections of items 1-10
  • Recognising numerals 1-10
  • Developing fine motor skills as they place the bowling pins on the game board.

To play the game, students set out ten bowling pins on their game board. They roll a ball, marble or scrunched paper toward the bowling pins and count how many were knocked down. This number is covered with a counter or, if the game is in a write-and-wipe sleeve, marked with a whiteboard marker. Students can also record the number of pins knocked down on our handy recording sheet!
