Students will love turning themselves into adorable lions as they complete this low-prep craft! This feel-good activity will be a visual reminder of how brave they are!

Using the included templates, students will create their lion faces by drawing a picture of themselves or cutting out a photo of their faces. They will cut colourful strips of paper and use these to create loops. The loops will be glued around a backing template to create a lion’s mane. In addition, students will add two cute lion’s ears to this template. Next, they will glue the picture of their face so it covers the edges of the loops and ears. Finally, they can add an adorable nose and whiskers using a black marker pen (alternatively, they can use small ovals of black cardstock and black pipe cleaners).

Younger students may benefit from having the templates enlarged to A3 and will require assistance with the cutting and assembling of their crafts.
