This fun, hands-on resource provides students with the opportunity to practise identifying the number one less and one more that a given number.   The aim of the game is for students to represent the number that is one less or one more by ‘popping bubbles’ on their game board. Students will roll small balls of play dough and place them on their board. They will flip a number card and represent one less and one more by squishing balls of play dough. We have even included a handy recording sheet if you would like your students to record their numbers.   This activity is suitable for individual work in Foundation and the Early Years and would make a great addition to small group rotations or table activities.
