Your students can have fun trying not to go bust with this rounding and estimation maths money game.

The game cards include items that the students can select to buy. Each item's name, price and supporting image are shown on the cards. You must provide your students with a budget and a time limit for the game. They will play against a partner or in a small group. The aim of the game is to select enough items to fill the game board whilst using rounding and estimation skills to stay within the budget and avoid going bust.

Three game boards are provided to assist with differentiation. They require different amounts of items to be selected and placed on the boards. You may also wish to remove some cards to simplify the game for students needing support.

This is a quick and easy game to set up. You only need to print the game and cut out the cards. It would be ideal as a maths rotation activity with students using a stopwatch to time.
