This fun, interactive game will support your students in understanding the differences between different camera angles.

Each question gives students a real-world image and asks if it is a particular type of camera angle. Have your students debate the answer and then show their response using either a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Check your answers by clicking on the thumb and watching it spin! Extend your students’ learning by asking them to reflect after each question on the effect the camera angle used has on the story, setting, mood and character.

The camera angles included in the activity are close-ups, mid shots, wide shots, point-of-view shots, over-the-shoulder shots, low angle and high angle.

This resource is editable, so you can change the text and images to suit! Simply right-click any image and select Change Picture, and your own images will be inserted with the correct sizing and framing. You might like to use illustrations from a class book, screenshots from a recently-watched film or even images taken by students using their own devices. Add more questions by simply duplicating either a correct or incorrect slide and changing the content to suit.
