This game can be played individually, in pairs or groups.
The aim of the game is to collect butterflies with sight words on them. The butterflies are editable to allow for different sight words to be practised. There are two player mats, however as many as needed can be used.
To play, the butterflies are turned face down.
The students take turns in turning over a butterfly and reading it. The student then puts the sight word on their net catching mat.
The teacher can set an end goal for example:
- when everyone has ___ butterflies each stop.
- stop when a timer goes off.
