Use this resource at the outset of a unit of work within the Earth and Space Science strand, looking in particular at the changes of observable features from day to night.
The task asks students to observe an image of a local environment and to add in any additional features they might see. They then consider how the same environment would change at night, and again add any additional features or changes that might appear.
The resource also allows teachers an opportunity to make notes of students' understanding of specific vocabulary and knowledge that they need to acquire throughout the unit of work, to meet the Year One Achievement Standard.
There are differentiated templates included ensuring flexibility for your students’ needs. Including cut and paste, drawing, and space for simple labelling or teacher scribing.
