In this hands-on sorting activity, students sort familiar fairy tale characters into settings they are typically found in.   Character Sort: Fairy Tales is a great resource for using with small groups. As some characters move across settings throughout a story, this will provide a prompt for rich discussion between students about where the character should be placed.   This resource includes 5 settings templates, 30 character cards and two recording sheets. The cards feature characters from the following fairy tales:

4. Jack and the Beanstalk
5. Hansel and Gretel
6. Goldilocks and the Three Bears
