You can use this fantastic worksheet when your students are learning about characters.
A story with a hero or villain needs to be selected. You could assign the same story to your whole class, different stories for different ability levels or your students could choose their own story. A well-known fairy tale, like Cinderella, works well for this activity. Your students need to record the name of the story and the hero and villain on the worksheet. They then need to list their character traits. Following this, your students will switch the character traits and rewrite the story. They will change the characters’ actions and motivations accordingly.
If you print the first page of this resource, your students will be able to write a short version of their story. If you think that your students will require more writing space, you can print the second page as well.
