Your students can create a special web with a secret message just like in Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White with this craft activity.

After choosing a character from the story, your students will brainstorm words and synonyms to describe their traits. They will create a glistening web using the template provided and secretly write the words on the web so that they only appear after paint has been applied.

The craft resource includes the web template, an instructions page and a planning sheet. You can use it to create some beautiful character and vocabulary displays of student work for your classroom.
