Have students demonstrate their understanding of selecting appropriate materials for particular problems with this design assessment.

Students will design a new reusable product that solves a problem that is currently solved by a single-use item.

They will analyse different potential materials and their properties, create a stand-out feature, describe and draw a diagram of the product and then create a product advertisement.

A completed rubric is included in the download as well as a blank version.
