This set of no-prep worksheets are ideal for practising poetry writing while exploring Chinese cultural traditions.

Students will independently research the traditions surrounding Chinese couplets, also known as Spring Couplets or Chun lian. Across four differentiated worksheet templates, they will compile their research findings and experiment with writing couplets, exploring how their use of traditional rules will change when writing in English instead of Chinese.

You might like to have students select their favourite couplet to write on red card with gold ink and display in the classroom during Chinese New Year celebrations!
