Your students can decide which informal length units are appropriate for measuring classroom items and practise their measuring skills with this engaging worksheet.
First, the informal units on the bottom of the page need to be cut out. They can be arranged and rearranged on the worksheet until your students are happy with their unit decisions. After pasting the units on the sheet, your students can then measure the items and record their answers.
Three differentiated versions of the worksheet are available. The number of informal units and items increases with each worksheet.
When you have decided which version of the worksheet to give to which students, you can print out the number of copies that you require, gather the everyday classroom items and begin the task. A suggested answer sheet is provided for the allocation of the units, however, answers may vary.
