Climb the Time Ladder
Description
Use this fun stacking game to practise matching different expressions of time, including digital, analogue, word and 24-hour.
Students stack the matching times to create a ladder. This can be done through a simple sorting game in pairs or small groups, or as part of a game like Memory or Go Fish where the student with the most complete stacks wins.
Simplify this game for support students by removing the 24-hour and digital or analogue times. You can also remove the 15-minute and 45-minute ladders to focus purely on hour and half-hour content.
Three recording sheet variations are included: record six three-card ladders (support), six five-card ladders (standard) or twelve five-card ladders (extension).
Colour and black and white printing options are included for the sorting cards. The AM and PM ladders are provided in different colours; you can make the activity more challenging by printing all the cards in black and white on the same colour cardstock so that they can’t be told apart!
