Colonial Australia Flap Book
Description
Create a Who Am I? flap book with this fun to-piece-together template.
Students research facts about a significant person during colonial times in Australia. This person should have made an impact on the colonies of Australia. They will research various facts such as:
- Early Life
- Year of Birth
- Year of Death
- Location
- Family
- Three Significant Facts
They will also include an illustration or picture of the chosen individual. Once all the facts are included on the template's main page, students can begin attaching the different flaps and tabs to create an interactive guessing game for others to play.
Print the base page on regular paper and the tabs and flaps page on thick card for best results. A craft knife is required for the pull-out tab to function. It is suggested that this cut be made on each student’s template before beginning the activity. An additional backing page is also required for the template to be pasted onto.
This resource is featured in the Australian Colonies History Year 5 Unit.Additional information
