Construct a coordinate grid system with this no-prep mapping worksheet.

Students will determine an appropriate scale to create a grid over the map.

They will then create the grid using a ruler and pencil before labelling each axis.

Once they have finished their grid, they will determine the coordinates of the listed features on the island before adding two additional features for a peer to locate and list the coordinates for.

There are three versions of the worksheet included in the download. The first is blank, the second includes small notches for a 1 cm scale and the third has a completed 1 cm grid. All instances require students to number each axis.
