This set of 16 task cards contains scenarios where someone is going through a challenge, change or transition.
Students will identify the change and determine a coping strategy that could be used to help the person in the scenario adapt to the situation. Then, they will write a coping strategy on the included recording sheet and explain why the coping strategy would be appropriate.
This activity can be used as a whole class task by placing the cards around the room and allowing pairs of students to work on a card before rotating to the next in the sequence. Repeat until students have responded to all the cards. Alternatively, utilise these task cards in small groups or as an individual activity by placing the cards on a binder ring.
Print the task cards and cover page on thick card and place in a storage container for easy reuse.
