Use this template to help your students research their local First Nations Australian community and the traditional land owners where they live and learn.Using digital resources, physical resources or interviews with local community members, your students will identify the First Nations Australian traditional land owners of their area and research information about their language, local wildlife and culture. You will need to research and identify your traditional land owners based on your school’s location. We highly recommend contacting local elders or representatives in your area for advice, support and resources during this activity.This EDITABLE resource features a ready-to-use worksheet with headings for research and a blank version where you can add your own headings or allow students to identify their own. Research can be completed independently, in pairs or in a small group.Why not print an A3 copy for display where your class can collate their research at the conclusion of the activity?This activity is part of our Year 3 Geography Unit Plan.
