Creating Complex Sentences Maze Worksheets
Description
Determine which subordinating conjunctions to use in complex sentences by finding a path through the maze.
Students will create sentences that each use a conjunction based on the order they find them in the maze. They must write a main and dependent clause utilising the given conjunction correctly.
The conjunctions included across the three worksheets are:
- although
- after
- if
- because
- before
- while
- since
- once
- as
- whether
- even though
- unless.
Use this worksheet as a fun independent consolidation activity when learning to write complex sentences. It could also be a fast-finisher or exit ticket activity you give students during your literacy lessons.
Print one worksheet per student or multiple to an A4 page.Additional information
