Description

This resource contains a fun, hands-on activity to practise segmenting the sounds in CVC words. With over 100 mini task cards containing a CVC word and matching picture. To begin, students take 3 small balls (or bits) of playdough and place them on the circles. As students identify each sound in the word, they squish each playdough ball under the letters. Great to reinforce that these words have 3 individual sounds. They then blend the sounds together. This activity is also great for fine motor skills as students create small balls of dough. These task cards are part of a set of 12 CVC related games and are sized to fit in the Kmart rainbow photo storage container.
