Description

Your students can invoke their senses when writing descriptively with these fun worksheets.

The task starts with visiting an area in the school, such as the library or the oval and students recording notes about what they see, hear, smell, taste and touch. Following this, they will then use their notes to create a piece of descriptive writing.

There are three differentiated versions of the student worksheet that include Australian Curriculum aligned prompts for the students to consider throughout their writing. There is also an extra writing page for those students who would like to write more than one page.

To use this resource, you can simply print enough copies of the first page for every student in your class. You can then decide which versions of the writing page to give to which students and print the number of copies required. You might also like to print a few copies of the extra writing page.
