Determine elapsed time with this interactive PowerPoint game. Students will be tasked with determining how much time has passed as they watch animated clock hands rotate and land on the final time. The difficulty progresses throughout the 15 clock faces, beginning with durations on the quarter hour, through to the nearest minute, greater than one hour and then off the o’clock durations. A hint button appears after every clock animation to provide a handy indication around the edge of the clock face to help determine the starting and ending points. Extend students by having them read the time on the clock face to start with and then again when it stops. Use this PowerPoint as a whole-class warm-up/finisher activity when learning to determine the duration of time.
