Description
Practise splitting numbers into tens and ones and using this skill to perform multiplication problems that utilise the distributive property.
Students will use the distributive property to find unknown multiplication facts. The worksheet has a guided layout with helpful diagrams indicating which number needs to be split.
The final section has students showing their working when using the distributive property.
There are three version of the worksheet to help with differentiation in your class. They are differentiated as follows:
- Multiples of 2, 3, 5, 10.
- Larger range of multiples.
- Using distributive property with numbers greater than 20.
Print one page per student, or if working in small groups, place a few sheets into write-and-wipe sleeves and reuse them for each group of students.
