Description
You’ve made it to the ancient tomb, now it’s time to get the treasure! In this high-stakes digital game, students will solve division problems to unlock treasure. Each correct answer brings them one step closer to claiming a prize… but there’s a twist!
After each question, students must decide whether to bank the treasure they’ve earned or risk it for a bigger reward. If they answer the next question correctly, the prize increases. But if they get it wrong, they fall through the trapdoor and lose everything from that round!
Throughout the game, students will divide one- and two-digit numbers using a range of strategies, including number sentences, arrays, and simple word problems. This game supports flexible thinking, builds fluency, and helps students make connections between written and symbolic representations of division.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- ✅ Solve division problems involving one- and two-digit numbers
- ✅ Apply strategies such as arrays, repeated subtraction, and fact families
- ✅ Interpret division in real-world contexts through word problems
- ✅ Strengthen number fluency and problem-solving skills
- ✅ Engage in interactive, risk-based gameplay to enhance motivation and retention
How to Play:
- Students are presented with a division problem and multiple-choice answers.
- A correct answer reveals a piece of treasure.
- Players then choose to either bank their treasure or risk it for a larger reward.
- If the next answer is incorrect, they fall through the trapdoor and lose their unbanked treasure.
- The game continues through multiple rounds, combining strategy with maths mastery.
