This resource provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of division concepts. They are required to interpret division word problems, write a matching number sentence, choose which diagram correctly represents the situation and justify their choice.

Each correct diagram choice will reveal a letter. Once both sheets have been completed, students can unjumble the letters to reveal the answer to a riddle!

Two extension worksheets have also been included that are titled, Division Detectives. The first of these will require students to add the missing parts of the division table: word problem / number sentence / diagram. The second task has been left blank to allow the students to add their own matching word problem, number sentence and diagram.
