Sharing Dog Bones Equally is an engaging resource that will allow students to practise solving division problems using strategies related to modelling and equal sharing.
To complete the task, students will read the division problem and collect dog bones to share equally between the dog houses. Once the bones have been shared equally, students can record the problem on a recording sheet. Please note that we have included two recording sheet options, one where students can write the worded problem and answer and one where they write the number sentence and answer.
This resource includes 36 task cards, dog bone pieces and recording sheets. These task cards are ideal for individual work in small groups.
