Drawing CVC Animals requires students to use their developing fine motor skills to complete a directed drawing. Following the step-by-step instructions, students will draw a picture of an animal with the option to write its name below.

This resource comes with two versions, making it accessible for students of various ages:

1. Students will draw the animal and write its name in the boxes below.
2. Students will draw the animal.

This resource includes 8 CVC animals to choose from and will challenge your students to apply a range of important skills, including sequencing. Students will be required to use their developing fine motor skills to hold their pencil correctly. Drawing the animal will help to strengthen the small muscles in their fingers and hands. Additionally, those that write the name of the animal below will also practise their letter formation.

Young learners may benefit from having the resource enlarged to A3. Older students may use the directed drawing as a writing prompt.
