Use this resource as part of a unit of work on Earth's Resources, to explore how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples lived off the land in regions that had scarce resources.
This resource includes:
1. An Information sheet adapted from https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/TeacherBackgroundInfo?id=56589.
Display it on an IWB and read as a class. Then discuss the strategies used to access water and food in arid regions; OR print a copy for students and use it as a comprehension task.
2. A Flipbook to help students show their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
How to make the flipbook:
1. Cut around each of the sheets on pages 3-5.
2. Keep the sheets together and place 2-3 staples on the left-hand side to create the flipbook.
