- The Sun: Source of Light – Another investigation into light and shadows. As students observe the movement and change in the shape of shadows, they will begin to make connections between night and day.
- Exploring Movement – Role-play how the Earth spins causing night and day then look at the scientific explanation of this concept.
- Making a sundial – This hands-on activity will show how ancient civilisations used the movement of the sun to tell time. Students will make connections to modern clocks and the sun.
