Description

The Easter Egg Colour by Shape activity helps students practice their knowledge of 2D shapes and colours.

Students use a key to colour the Easter egg based on different shapes.

Students can read the colour names, use the colour printer version as a visual guide, or create their own colour key for each shape. Two versions are provided with increasingly complex shape patterns.

This activity focuses on learning about shapes, including rectangles, triangles, circles, ovals, and hexagons. It can be done individually or as part of small group rotations.

Top Teacher Tip: Use the final blank egg for extension students to create their own patterns. Students can create their own key to use to colour in their patterns, or have a partner follow their key to colour in the patterns they create!
