This PowerPoint resource is a great introduction to the Art Element: SHAPE. Students are provided with a clear definition of what SHAPE is in relation to Art, and examples of the two main categories. Within the PowerPoint students are provided with exemplars as a reference for practise activities. Examples are also provided of various artworks to provoke student discussion in comparing the use of SHAPE and the artists’ purpose. The final activity allows students to display their overall understanding and skills of the Art Element: SHAPE. Worksheets are also available to download: Elements of Art: Shape Printables which allow students to explore and create with enabling sheets to provide support according to student needs.
