These worksheets are a great introduction for students to the Art Element: TEXTURE. The worksheets allow students to explore and create with enabling sheets to provide support according to student need.   Students are provided with an introduction to various TEXTURES along with an explanation and examples of real/actual textures and visual/implied textures.   An accompanying PowerPoint is also available on our Ultimate Membership Elements of Art: Colour DIGITAL. Within the PowerPoint, students are provided with exemplars as a reference for practice activities. Examples of various artworks (including famous and Indigenous artworks) are used to provide student discussion to compare how the artist has used TEXTURE within the work, how it was created and the artists’ purpose. The summative activities allow students to display their overall understanding and skills of the Art Element: TEXTURE.
