Use these templates to create beautiful hanging lanterns displaying your students’ most precious memories from the year.

On each strip, students will write one treasured memory or event from the past year. Once their strips are complete, they will use the template pieces to craft a paper lantern.

Included in this resource are:

1. Student instruction sheets (print two to a page)
2. Two template options for the lantern strips (print 1-3 pages per student depending on how many memories they want to share; we recommend two pages for best results)
3. Base shape templates.

You can enhance this craft by decorating it with paints, oil pastels or dyes. Alternatively, try printing the templates on coloured card for a pop of classroom colour. This craft could also be enlarged to A3 size to make larger lanterns.
