Description

You’ve reached the tomb and the treasure is within reach! In this thrilling risk-and-reward Digi-Game, students solve estimation and calculation problems to collect treasure - but must decide whether to play it safe or gamble for a bigger score.


As students work through the game, they’ll answer questions involving estimation strategies, rational number operations, percentages, and real-world financial contexts. The better their number sense and problem-solving skills, the more treasure they can collect. But beware - a wrong answer can trigger the trapdoor and send their prize tumbling back into the tomb!


Can they strike the perfect balance between caution and confidence to walk away with the highest score?

How to Play:

  1. Students are presented with a maths problem involving estimation or calculation.
  2. Each correct answer reveals a piece of treasure.
  3. Players must decide whether to bank the treasure or risk it and attempt the next, more valuable question.
  4. If they get the next question wrong, they lose all unbanked treasure and fall through the trapdoor.
  5. The game continues until all questions have been answered - the player with the most treasure wins!
